  • Day 1 - Chongqing

    Chongqing Arrival

    Begin your journey by embarking on your international flight to Chingqing. Upon arrival at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport you will be met by your tour manager and be transferred to your hotel. Take some time to relax and prepare for your full day tour tomorrow.
  • Day 2 - Yangtze River

    Yangtze River Description

    The expansive Yangtze River is the largest river in Asia and the third largest in the world.It is renowned not only for its impressive size, but also for the natural beauty of its surrounds.The river begins in the remote mountainous regions and winds its way through stunning gorges, lush and fertile regions and connects with numerous lakes and waterways.

    Fengdu Ghost City

    Today you may join an optional excursion to the Fengdu Ghost City to see why it’s regarded as the "City of Ghosts". The temples built on Ming Mountain depict the punish instruments and demon paintings, demonstrating the Chinese people’s imagination of hell. Return to the ship and continue to pass through the mountains of Eastern Sichuan. Tonight enjoy the farewell dinner and pack your bags in preparation to disembark tomorrow.
  • Day 3 - Yangtze River

    Lesser Three Gorges

    Today you will enjoy an optional shore excursion to the Lesser Three Gorges - a shinning pearl hidden in remote mountains. These gorges are much smaller and narrower than most other along the river, however they are surrounded by some of the most dramatic and beautiful scenery you will find. Along the Yangtze River you will appreciate the beauty of the Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge and visit the Ancient Plank Road, Mengliang Stairway and the Hanging Coffins. You will then return to the ship and continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge.
  • Day 4 - Yangtze River

    Three Gorges Dam Site

    Today’s activities include; a morning Tai Chi lesson and an optional shore excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Site. The Three Gorges Dam Site is one of the largest construction projects undertaken by mankind and is the biggest hydropower project in the world. In the afternoon you will disembark the cruise and transferred from Yichang to Shanghai by flight and welcome to Shanghai, China!

    Shanghai is the largest metropolis in China and a global financial hub. The city is a popular destination as it offers a unique experience in a city where western customs and Chinese traditions entwine.

    Huangpu River Cruise

    The incredible Huangpu River serves as Shanghai’s shipping artery both to the East China Sea and to the mouth of the Yangtze River. A spectacular cruise along the Huangpu River gives visitors the opportunity to admire many of Shanghai’s beautiful skyline and famous sites including; the People’s Hero Monument, the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, the bustling International Passenger Station of Shanghai Harbour, the docks and the Wu Song ancient gun fort relics.

    Hangzhou City Description

    The city of Hangzhou is renowned for its beauty and abundance of cultural heritage. It is also the political, economic and cultural centre of the Zheijang Province and one of the most popular tourist destinations in China.

    West Lake Area

    You will take a tour of the West Lake area in Hangzhou, comprising of the West Lake and the surrounding hills, which have inspired famous poets, scholars and artists since the 9thCentury. It is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in China, and is home to numerous temples, pagodas, pavilions, gardens, causeways and artificial islands.

    Impressions of West Lake Show

    Impressions of West Lake is an evening spectacle of music, light and dance, performed entirely on the beautiful West Lake in Hangzhou City. The surrounding mountains act as a stunning natural backdrop to this magical performance. The show tells the 1,000 year history and legends of the mesmerising West Lake District.
  • Day 7 - Hangzhou

    Tea Village

    Today you will enjoy a visit to a tea plantation, where you will learn about tea picking and processing. Tea Village is part of the West Lake scenic area and has a history of over 600 years. It is situated in a beautiful rustic setting, nestled amongst lush green hills.

    Grand Canal

    Take a boat trip along the longest canal in the world - you will have the options to take an optional boat trip along longest canal in the world - Suzhou's Grand Canal. Some sections date as far back as the 5th century BC and it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.     The ancient city of Suzhou dates back to 514BC and over the course of its 2,500 year history a great number of relics and sites of historical signficance have been founded here. It is also often referred to as the 'Venice of the East' due to its many beautiful waterways.

    The Master of the Nets Garden is one of the finest in China, and is one of the gardens for which Suzhou is renowned. On our optional tour you will expore the garden and admire the effortless cohesion of art, nature and architecture that has attracted thousands of visitors since 1140CE.

    Silk Factory

    Explore the most famous silk factory in China to understand the manufacturing processes of silk and its rich history in China.

    Tiananmen Square

    Explore the incredible Tiananmen Square, one of the largest and grandest public plazas in the world.

    Beijing Forbidden City 故宫

    Enter the imposing walls of the Forbidden City, once the exclusive domain of the Ming Dynasty, for an extensive tour through this vast complex.
  • Day 10 - Beijing

    The Great Wall of China

    Travel into the rugged mountain landscapes north of the city to the magnificent Great Wall of China. Once on top of this ancient defensive structure, you’ll find that some sections are quite steep, but the views are magnificent and the experience is truly unforgettable.

    Jade Factory

    Learn about Jade, China’s most precious and celebrated stone, and its manufacturing process at the largest Jade factory in Beijing.

    Olympic Games Sites

    Visit the 2008 Olympic Games Sites including the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube.

    Oriental Foot Massage

    Experience the oriental foot massage at a traditional Chinese medical centre where you will learn about alternative treatments for illness and have the chance to consult a Chinese Medical professional.

  • Day 12 - Beijing

    The Temple of Heaven

    Participate in a tour of the Temple of Heaven and practice the martial art of Tai Chi. Tai Chi is an internal martial art system which places emphasis on the development and control of Chi energy (consciousness) within the body. The Temple of Heaven is a sprawling complex of religious buildings located in the south-eastern section of central Beijing. The site was constructed by the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties who would host annual ceremonies of prayer for good harvest here.

    Chinese Tea Ceremony

    Experience a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony while sampling China’s locally-favoured brews at a Tea House.

    Beijing Departure

    Today you will be transferred to Beijing Capital International Airport for your scheduled flight home.
